Nottingham Forest will be hoping to sign a number of new players this summer.

The main aim will be keeping the core of the squad together, but up to six new additions could be made by Vitor Pereira.

If Manchester City were to offer a player to sweeten the Elliot Anderson deal, who would you like included?

It would appear as though a new defender is going to be one of the incoming deals at the City Ground.

Forest were linked with Jan Ziolkowski over the weekend, and one way or another, it appears a new player will arrive to strengthen the rearguard.

Nottingham Forest want Arthur Theate

According to the transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Forest want to add Eintracht Frankfurt defender Arthur Theate to their ranks this summer.

The 26-year-old defender primarily plays as a centre-back but can also operate as a left-back.

During the 2025/26 campaign, Theate made 33 appearances for Frankfurt, with seven of them coming as a full-back.

Theate made 82 outings for Rennes before signing for Frankfurt, and he’s also turned out for KV Oostende and Bologna.

WhoScored shows quite nicely exactly why Forest are considering a move for Theate.

In 2025/26, he won 35 aerial challenges, which, for context, is more than the 31 that Nikola Milenkovic made during the campaign.

Forest have Murillo and Milenkovic as their two top central defenders at the moment, with Morato as the first reserve.

Any deal for a centre-back could suggest the Brazilian backup departing, whilst Jair Cunha and Zach Abbott could be freed up to go out on loan.

Theate is going to the World Cup with Belgium this summer, and now, Forest fans might be keen to get a closer look at their potential future signing when the tournament gets underway.
