Nottingham Forest have reignited their interest in Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.
With Elliot Anderson set to leave, Nottingham Forest have made contact with Inter over a deal to sign Davide Frattesi.
Clearly, Forest chiefs view Frattesi as an adequate Anderson replacement, so the deal could accelerate over the coming weeks.
Brandt, Vlahovic and Bissouma are all free agents… who should Nottingham Forest sign? ✍️
That said, ahead of the potential signing, TNT sports commentator Adam Summerton has given his verdict on the 26-year-old midfielder.

Nottingham Forest target Davide Frattesi labelled a ‘risk’
Adam Summerton has taken to X to give his detailed thoughts on Forest potentially signing Frattesi this summer.
The commentator believes Frattesi would be a big ‘risk’ as he’s not played nearly enough football since joining Inter during the summer of 2024.
“Frattesi/Forest link seems to keep coming back,” Summerton wrote on X.
“Whatever his next move, he has to find a club/coach where he fits and is going to play regularly – he’s 27 in September and not got close to fulfilling his potential yet. Only 18 league starts in 3 seasons at Inter (3 in 25/26) – he has made some telling contributions from the bench but struggled to truly impact games as a starter.
“He can play different midfield roles, often described as box-to-box, but imo he’s best used when he can play as a box-crasher – he needs to be able to get in positions where he can make off-the-ball runs into and around the opposition’s box.
On a scale of 1-10 how confident are you that Nottingham Forest will keep Morgan Gibbs-White this summer?
How much is the star man worth?🔥
“He’s got running power & stamina, he’s reasonably quick, attacks space well, can carry the ball well but he isn’t someone you’d look to dictate the tempo, he doesn’t have the greatest passing range, not hugely creative.
“After 3 seasons of few starts, he’d be a risk, there’s no denying that, he’s spent too long as an ‘impact player’- and to have any chance of success, he’d have to be used in a system where he can regularly get close to the opposition box – but he does have ability, and I think he could adapt to the PL.”
Frattesi is valued at around £30m by the Italian giants, so it would be a very feasible deal to do for Evangelos Marinakis.
Forest could limit the risk by signing another midfielder to help fill the huge void left by Anderson’s imminent departure.
Southampton’s Shea Charles has also been linked to the City Ground after his standout season in the Championship.
