Nottingham Forest reportedly launched a bid for Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado earlier this month.
Marc Casado was subjected to a £23m offer from Nottingham Forest last week, with Vitor Pereira keen to get a midfielder in to replace Elliot Anderson.
It was reported at the time that Barca wanted £27m to sanction Casado’s sale, but there has now been a fresh development on the situation.
Brandt, Vlahovic and Bissouma are all free agents… who should Nottingham Forest sign? ✍️
It seems as though Nottingham Forest have a really good chance of landing the 22-year-old’s signature before the end of the month.

Nottingham Forest target Marc Casado agrees to leave Barcelona
There were doubts over whether Casado would be open to leaving Barca this summer, considering he still has two years left on his contract.
But, according to Marca, the Forest target has now agreed to leave Camp Nou, and a transfer could be finalised before the 30th of June due to the club’s financial restrictions.
All parties are working towards an exit, and it’s understood that Barca will lower their valuation to ensure a deal gets done as soon as possible.

That puts Forest in a great position to sign Casado for less than his market value, although they are facing stiff competition from Saudi Arabia.
The report notes that the Spaniard is considering an offer from Saudi, which will no doubt be a substantial one.
So, Evangelos Marinakis and his chiefs may have to offer a lucrative contract to sign the defensive midfielder, who made 34 appearances last term.
Real Betis and AS Monaco are also circling Casado.
