Nottingham Forest are going to try to sign a number of players this summer to bolster the squad.

Vitor Pereira finished last season pretty well, with Forest surviving relegation and reaching the semi-final of the Europa League.

With Elliot Anderson wanted by Manchester City, however, it does appear as though new midfielders will be the order of the day this summer.

The World Cup might ensure that some deals take more time to get over the line, but the Forest recruitment team are still quietly going about their business, it would seem.

Davide Frattesi gives green light for Nottingham Forest transfer

According to fresh reports, it’s believed that Frattesi is now keen for Nottingham Forest to land him this summer amid their vast interest.

Frattesi has already rejected Forest on two occasions, and it had been thought that he was longing for a chance to remain in Italy this summer.

With Roma and Napoli interested in the Inter star, staying in Italy would be viable, but according to Fabrizio Romano, Frattesi is keen to explore the Forest opportunity.

Romano does claim at this stage that a strong offer could tempt Frattesi to remain in Italy but the door is open again for Forest.

The midfielder is available for around £27 million this summer, and as a result, Forest are considering improving their bid from earlier this summer, which was rejected.

👀Should we be aiming a little bit higher?🤔

Forest will need a stellar midfielder if Anderson leaves this summer and Frattesi doesn’t feel like a player who will scratch that itch.

However, with bags of experience in a top league and in European competitions, there’s a sense that Frattesi can bring some ideal experience to the ranks.

Luciano Spalletti once said Frattesi had ‘infinite quality’ and it will be interesting to see if he can adapt to the Premier League should he make the switch.
