Oliver Glasner is set to be announced as the new manager of Nottingham Forest.
Vitor Pereira has issued a farewell statement to fans, so the club should confirm the arrival of Oliver Glasner imminently.
Nottingham Forest fans are certainly excited by the appointment, and so they should be. He’s just won two major trophies at Crystal Palace.

A good appointment? 🤔
The Tricky Trees haven’t won a major honour since 1990 under Brian Clough, so hopefully the Austrian can break that trend at the City Ground.
Glasner also has a superb track record of developing players, and he could turn a current Forest star into a £100m-plus player.

Morgan Gibbs-White could become a £100m+ player under Oliver Glasner
Elliot Anderson is set to join Manchester City in a £116m deal.
Whilst it’s sad to see him go, it’s also a success story to bring in that level of money after spending around £35m on his signature two summers ago.
These are the types of sales that can really push a club forward and allow greater funds to be spent across the squad, not to mention the positive impact it has from a PSR standpoint.
That said, Forest will hope they can create another £100m+ player, and they are well-placed to do so with Morgan Gibbs-White.
Name one Crystal Palace star you’d love to see join Glasner at Forest 👀
Glasner’s system is centred around getting the best out of number 10s, as he deploys two attacking midfielders in his three-at-the-back formation.
At Palace, the Austrian developed Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze into superstars, with the former now in contention to win the Ballon d’Or at Bayern Munich.
He clearly has a knack for polishing playmakers, so Gibbs-White’s game could step up another level next season.
If the 26-year-old improves his 18-goal tally from last term, it’s very feasible for him to command a similar fee to Anderson.
Indeed, Forest won’t want to sell their captain, so hopefully the club develops into a consistent European outfit and a contender for trophies.
That way, Gibbs-White is much more likely to stay and fight for silverware with the Tricky Trees.
