The new 2026/27 Premier League season gets underway on the 22nd of August for Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest learned their fixtures last month, and it’s a pretty tricky start to the campaign as they face three teams in their first five who are likely to challenge for Europe.
But Ola Aina recently predicted Forest to qualify for the Champions League, so clearly there is great belief among the camp.
Ola Aina reckons Forest could finish top four next season, thoughts? 🤔
With that said, we’ve predicted the opening five games of the season and how many points Nottingham Forest could be on heading into October.

How many points Nottingham Forest could be on after five games
Leeds United – H
Nottingham Forest open up their 2026/27 Premier League campaign with a home clash against Leeds United at the City Ground.
Forest will be the favourites in this one, and this fixture ended in a 3-1 win to the Tricky Trees last season.
I’m going for a comfortable win against Daniel Farke’s side, who have just lost arguably their best centre-back in Pascal Struijk to Brighton.
Score prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Leeds United
Liverpool – A
A tough clash at Anfield follows, and it’ll be a new-look Liverpool side under the newly appointed head coach Andoni Iraola.
Many felt Arne Slot was holding Liverpool back next term, so Iraola will be under pressure to get the Reds in a title race.
Forest may suffer their first defeat of this season early on.
Score prediction: Liverpool 2-1 Nottingham Forest
📅The fixtures are officially out but which one are you looking forward to the most?🤔
The Reds have discovered their fate!
Tottenham – H
Nobody really knows what to expect from Tottenham these days.
After a couple of years fighting at the bottom of the table, they may still have some scar tissue to deal with despite looking better under Roberto De Zerbi.
I fancy the hosts to pick up their second win, with perhaps a late winner.
Score prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Aston Villa – A
Forest played Aston Villa four times last term, with two in the Premier League and two legs in the Europa League semi-finals.
The East Midlands only won one, and that came at the City Ground in the first leg, so they’ll be keen to get one back over the Villans.
I can see an entertaining draw in this one, which would be a good result for the visitors
Score prediction: Aston Villa 2-2 Nottingham Forest
Coventry City – H
The final game of September takes place on the banks of the River Trent, as Forest play host to newly-promoted Coventry City.
If Forest are to challenge for Europe, these are the games they must be winning, and I think they will.
In fact, they’ll do it in style as well.
Score prediction: Nottingham Forest 4-0 Coventry City
Total points after five games: 10
