Nottingham Forest fans still have a lot of love for Nuno Espirito Santo even after the way his departure transpired.

The Reds appointed Oliver Glasner on Monday, with Ange Postecoglou, Sean Dyche and Vitor Pereira all managing the Reds since Espirito Santo departed almost 12 months ago.

🤝Oliver Glasner is the new Nottingham Forest head coach but what is the one piece of advice you would give the new man?

The boss who led Forest to an FA Cup semi-final and a seventh-place finish in the Premier League during 2024/25 didn’t feel he could carry on working with Evangelos Marinakis and was moved on after three games of last season.

Now, with West Ham preparing for life back in the second tier, it would appear as though Espirito Santo has got the band back together…

Rui Silva joins West Ham

The long-serving right-hand man of Espirito Santo has now rejoined the former Forest boss at the London Stadium.

Silva went to Wolves after leaving Forest, but in the wake of Rob Edwards being sacked, he’s not been kept on at Molineux.

As a result, Espirito Santo has picked him up, and that can only benefit the Hammers in their push towards promotion back to the top-flight next season.

Silva has the unusual Forest record of claiming a 100% record as the manager…kind of.

During the 2025/26 season, Espirito Santo picked up a three-match ban, with Silva stepping in and leading Forest to three victories in those games.

Now, Silva will likely form a formidable coaching pairing with Espirito Santo as they look to replicate their season in the Championship with Wolves.

On that occasion, they romped to the league title and given they’re in a different division to Forest, perhaps the fan base will wish Espirito Santo more well wishes next season.
