Nottingham Forest will have to consider the future of three players this summer.
As it stands, Oliver Glasner has three first-teamers out of contract in 2027, so they either need to be sold this window or have their deals extended.

In this PSR and SCR climate, it’s imperative that Nottingham Forest maximise the value of their players and don’t allow deadwood to be taking up substantial wages in their budget.
With that said, here are three Forest stars who are currently due to walk out the door on a free transfer next year.

Nottingham Forest have three players who could leave for free in 2027
Chris Wood
Chris Wood is entering the final 12 months of his contract at the City Ground, and given he turns 35 years old in December, he’s unlikely to get a new deal.
So, the smart business move would be to sell him for a decent fee this window, as harsh as that may be considering his goal record in recent years.
Wood was criticised by New Zealand’s media during the World Cup, so his best days appear to be behind him now.
Taiwo Awoniyi
Taiwo Awoniyi only started three Premier League games last season, but he managed to score four goals and lay on a couple of assists.
Vitor Pereira seemed to inject new life into Awoniyi, so he may get another chance to prove himself next term.
Awoniyi has made it clear he wants to stay at Forest: “My family and I are settled here in Nottingham, a great city. Next season, we will be better.”
It remains to be seen whether Evangelos Marinakis and his chiefs extend the 28-year-old’s deal.
Name one Crystal Palace star you’d love to see join Glasner at Forest 👀
Omar Richards
The third and final Forest player who is out of contract in 2027 is Omar Richards.
Since arriving from Bayern Munich during the summer of 2022, Richards has featured once for Forest’s under-21s and hasn’t made a single first-team appearance.
The 28-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Portuguese outfit Rio Ave and will surely depart on a permanent deal this summer.
