Nottingham Forest are showing an interest in Jhon Lucumi.

After impressing in Serie A with Bologna, Jhon Lucumi has emerged as a centre-back target for Nottingham Forest.

Name one Crystal Palace star you’d love to see join Glasner at Forest 👀

Adam Wharton.

Lucumi is enjoying a productive World Cup at the moment as his Colombian side have reached the last 16.

The Forest target will be in action this evening as they take on Switzerland in Vancouver, Canada.

Ahead of the clash, Lucumi has broken his silence amid links to the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest target Jhon Lucumi will assess his options after the World Cup

Lucumi has a £24m release clause in his Bologna contract, and it reportedly expires later this month.

So, it would seem if he is to leave Bologna, a deal will have to be made pretty imminently.

However, the 28-year-old is relaxed about his situation and has explained he will assess his future after the World Cup.

“I’m at the World Cup right now,” Lucumi told Gazzetta.

“It’s not the time to discuss such matters. When I return to Italy, we’ll calmly talk about everything.”

🤝Oliver Glasner is the new Nottingham Forest head coach but what is the one piece of advice you would give the new man?

Juventus are believed to be in the race to land his signature, so it won’t be an easy deal to complete for Forest.

Perhaps Oliver Glasner’s arrival will attract him to make a switch to the East Midlands, as the Austrian boss has a good track record of developing centre-backs.

Marc Guehi, most notably, really kicked on under Glasner’s stewardship and established himself as an England international.

The project is exciting at the City Ground, and Lucumi would be a great fit for the three-at-the-back system.
