Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Givairo Read this summer transfer window.
In fact, Forest have already made a bid for Read, but Dutch giants Feyenoord have swiftly turned down their approach.
Is Givairo Read the right player to provide competition for Ola Aina?
How would you rate this signing out of 10?
The right-back is believed to be valued at around £30m, so they’ll have to double their opening bid of around £15m.
The Tricky Trees aren’t believed to be deterred, so it seems as though Oliver Glasner wants this one over the line quickly.
Ahead of his potential transfer to the City Ground, we’ve picked out five fascinating facts about Read.

Givairo Read’s record-breaking debut
Before joining Feyenoord, Read plied his trade at FC Volendam, and he actually made his debut there at the age of 15 years and 290 days old.
That broke a record at the club, as he became the youngest-ever player to feature for the third-tier outfit.
Shortly after, Read netted his first goal and became the division’s youngest-ever goalscorer.
Read’s global recognition
Last December, Read was named as the best player born in 2006 outside of the top five leagues by CIES.
The Forest target was ranked ahead of Geovany Quenda, who has just signed for Chelsea in a deal worth a reported £40m.
Will Oliver Glasner utilise any of the forgotten men at Nottingham Forest? If so, who?
Let us know who you have high hopes for…
Read doesn’t actually like watching football
Speaking back in October, Read admitted that he isn’t a fan of watching football.
“I’m someone who doesn’t really watch football… I don’t really enjoy watching it,” the 20-year-old stated.
“It’s really strange, but I don’t really enjoy watching for 90 minutes; I prefer to do it myself. What do I watch? TV shows, for example, something else.”
Read is already a decorated footballer
Read, who only celebrated his 20th birthday last month, has already won a KNVB Cup and the Johan Cruyff Shield.
At youth level, the Netherlands under-19 international won the European Championships last summer and was named in the Team of the Tournament.
So, he’s certainly got a taste for silverware.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich have been linked with Read
Read’s performances in the Netherlands have alerted the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City in recent months.
Neither club are expected to pursue a deal at this stage, but it’s certainly an encouraging sign for Nottingham Forest to have two European powerhouses admiring him.
