Nottingham Forest have returned for pre-season ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Oliver Glasner took Nottingham Forest training this morning for the first time since being appointed as Vitor Pereira’s replacement.

Glasner will now prepare his Forest side for their first friendly on Saturday, as they take on local side Notts County at Meadow Lane.

With that said, here is the club’s full pre-season schedule ahead of the Premier League kicking off on August 22nd against Leeds United.

Will Oliver Glasner utilise any of the forgotten men at Nottingham Forest? If so, who?

Forest have six pre-season friendlies confirmed, although there is talk of two more intriguing games which could be added.

There is speculation that on the weekend of the 8th of August, Glasner’s men will face Barcelona and Udinese in Udine, Italy.

It’s understood that the three clubs will feature in a triangular tournament, so it’ll be a good test to see where the Tricky Trees are at.

But, as it stands, those two games are yet to be announced by the club, so these are the confirmed friendlies to jot down in your diary.

For Forest supporters not travelling to watch the away games, there are two opportunities to see the team at the City Ground.

Tickets are on sale on the club’s official website, so they are accessible to non-season ticket holders.

This pre-season will be especially fascinating to follow, as Glasner will be implementing a completely different style of play.

The Austrian head coach is expected to change the formation to his trademark 3-4-2-1.
