Nottingham Forest have been pretty good at raking in significant transfer fees since Evangelos Marinakis came to the club in 2017.
Naturally, as a Premier League club, that sort of thing is often easier to do, but way back when Forest were in the Championship, Marinakis still knew how to drive a hard bargain.
Will Oliver Glasner utilise any of the forgotten men at Nottingham Forest? If so, who?
Let us know who you have high hopes for…
The Reds have always tried to maximise complete profit on any players they’ve sold, especially when it comes to players from the club’s brilliant academy.
Brennan Johnson epitomised that when he went to Spurs for £50 million, and whilst he thrives in the Premier League, another player sold as a youngster is now fighting to win a new club.

Arvin Appiah signs for the PFA Free Agent team
Appiah is currently without a club after leaving Almería at the end of his contract in the summer.
He first signed for the Spanish outfit back in 2019 but embarked on a number of loan spells, with Lugo, Tenerife, Malaga, Rotherham, Nacional and Amiens all clubs that he played for with limited success.
Appiah only made 62 appearances for Almeria, scoring four goals and claiming two assists.
The only other goals he’s scored during his senior career came with Forest against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup and during his spell with Malaga.
Appiah is recovering from an Achilles injury at the moment, but the PFA have confirmed that he’s currently with the group for this week’s training.
Yesterday, the team defeated Barnet 3-1 at their training ground with Appiah not involved.
Forest hit the jackpot with Appiah
When the club decided to sell Appiah, eyebrows were raised, and some fans were up in arms.
However, seven years later, the Reds can look back with an element of smugness in recognition that Appiah was cashed in at the right time.
It’s never nice to see a player endure the sort of downward spiral in their career that Appiah has.
Now, the hope will be that he can get himself fit, play for the PFA team in pre-season and find himself a club for the new campaign.
