Nottingham Forest had a number of players featuring at the World Cup with Spain emerging victorious after over five weeks of football.
Spain defeated Argentina in the final, with England beating France to claim third place in the competition during Thomas Tuchel’s first tournament as the Three Lions’ boss.
Forest had Dan Ndoye, Ibrahim Sangare and Chris Wood taking part in the World Cup, with Elliot Anderson and Angus Gunn representing their countries despite now moving on to different clubs.
Now, it’s come to light that Forest had another representative at the World Cup after he was invited over to assist with the groundskeeping side of things.

Nottingham Forest content suggests World Cup trip for groundsman
Forest have posted a video on TikTok that suggests the club had a representative on the ground in Houston for one of the games at the competition.
It’s not actually clear which of the maintenance team it was that went to the World Cup but a video has been posted that shows the daily jobs that were needed to be done ahead of a contest in Houston.
In the interesting video, it features the Forest figure explaining what work goes into the pitch work and how he had to arrive in the middle of the night to begin maintenance work.
This serves to highlight just how well Forest are doing at the moment when it comes to putting the right people in place for the important jobs at the football club.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has left no stone unturned in the quest to get Forest on an upward trajectory and clearly the club have groundspeople to be proud of.
The pitch at the City Ground will inevitably be in tip-top condition next season and with a World Cup invitee on the books, things can only bode well for Forest.
