Elliot Anderson made the move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City during the World Cup.
Anderson was at the tournament helping England reach the semi-final of the competition and completed the formalities of his £116 million move shortly after the round of 32.

The midfielder was in fine form out in the United States, and that came as a shock to nobody of a Forest persuasion. His form in two seasons at Forest was mesmerising, and he grew from a young midfielder signed from Newcastle into one of the best in the Premier League.
Following his return from the World Cup, Anderson posted an emotional message to the Forest fans, and now some stellar players have responded to the former Reds star.
England and Forest stars send messages to Elliot Anderson
The first player to respond to Anderson was Rogers, who was on the move himself yesterday.
He made the switch from Aston Villa to Chelsea in a deal for £117 million, and he simply posted the word ‘top’ in emoji format.
Bellingham also responded with a message which read: “Some guy, some player!”
There were also messages from Forest players, with Callum Hudson-Odoi saying: “All the best brother.”
Neco Williams, Ryan Yates and Omari Hutchinson wished him well with a couple of emojis each, and finally, Ola Aina said: “Going to miss you mate, go well.”
Forest must replace Anderson
Anderson is now a £116 million player and, as a result, it’ll be impossible to get a ready-made replacement.
Lucas Bergvall is linked with Forest, but at 20, he will need time to get up to speed if he’s the man to replace the Reds’ star.

Forest have done superbly well to transform a £35 million signing into one that costs £116 million, and there is a clear message there for any young player considering a move to Forest.
