The 21-year-old is a man on a mission. He’s now scored nine goals in all competitions during 2022/23 and he’s really starting to adapt to life in the Premier League.

His form has been remarkable for some time now. He scored 19 goals last season and claimed 10 assists as the Reds came from nowhere to win promotion to the Premier League.
The year before that he was in fine form during a loan spell with Lincoln City. He helped the Imps reach the League One play-off final, scoring 13 goals and claiming 14 assists from 49 appearances.
Now, it would appear that his remarkable few years have seen him become close to Saka in one aspect. Opta Joe have released some stats that showcase just how good Johnson has been.
They claim that Johnson has been directly involved in 36 goals in England’s top four tiers since the start of last season. With 24 goals and 12 assists he sits second on the list of players aged 21 or under when it comes to goals and assists over that period.
Saka has been in remarkable form for Arsenal. Across the same period, he has registered 37 goals and assists; with Johnson hot on his heels in second place.
