Chris Sutton has explained what he would be worried about if he was a Nottingham Forest supporter. The pundit has been discussing the Reds after their 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday.
Forest are now safe. Given that they’re now out of contention for relegation, the Monday Night Club decided to discuss the Reds and the job that Steve Cooper and his team have done.

Sutton has been delivering predictions on Forest on the BBC Sport site all season. He did actually back them to get something against Arsenal at the weekend, but he’s also tipped some thrashings.
The Nottingham-born pundit wasn’t overly keen on giving too much praise to Forest. He still confesses that he’s somewhat concerned ahead of next season, just days after survival was secured.
He told the Monday Night Club: “The issue with Nottingham Forest, let’s get it right. They’ve overachieved in many respects, it’s been tricky but they’ve got over the line.
“The issue with this owner is he’s so ruthless and he may be looking to get a top-half finish.
“I think that’s unrealistic, they’ll want to progress and build but you never know what you’re going to get from this owner and that’s my concern for Nottingham Forest.”
Sutton explained why he’s worried about Nottingham Forest
What Sutton has said is hardly too surprising. Given Evangelos Marinakis’ record at Olympiacos, it does seem a pretty viable worry from the outside looking in.
Ultimately, the owner looks to have learned his lesson, however. He’s stuck with Cooper this season and for that, he deserves immense credit.

Leeds, for example, have changed their manager twice this season. They go into their final-day showdown against Tottenham knowing that their fate is out of their hands.
Cooper will be under no illusions that his Forest team must improve next season. New players will be signed and it will be up to the boss to kick the team on.
Marinakis has his back though. He will likely back Cooper with more new recruits and that can only bode well for the club next season.
