Nottingham Forest have had their £14 million bid accepted for Corinthians’ Brazilian centre-back Murillo.
Journalist Jorge Nicola has provided the latest update on the transfer, confirming that the Brazilian club have accepted a bid from Forest for the 21-year-old.
Steve Cooper’s side submitted a package for Murillo last night, with the centre-back already agreeing personal terms with the Reds.
The ‘brilliant‘ defender stated his desire to leave the Brazilian club this summer, as he wants to play in the Premier League, with the youngster set to join Forest in the coming days.

Murillo to Nottingham Forest, one step closer
Murillo is a pacey centre-back, who is capable of playing out from the back.

Cooper’s side have been crying out for a central defender with some pace, with the 21-year-old hopefully ending the search.
The Reds have also been looking to add a little bit of composure to their ranks, with Murillo more than capable with the ball at his feet.

Cooper’s side announced the signing of Chelsea man Andrey Santos on a season-long loan earlier today, with Murillo looking set to join his fellow countryman at the City Ground very soon.
This summer has been the polar opposite of last year, with just five signings so far, but boss Steve Cooper must be happy with the flurry of late business taking place at the club.
