Nottingham Forest have had a busy summer once again signing 13 new players ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

Big-money signings of Anthony Elanga and Ibrahim Sangare certainly caught the eye, but it’s two of the cheaper arrivals that have already proven to be shrewd additions.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ola Aina joined the Reds for £3 million and a free transfer respectively, with the pair already making an instant impact at the City Ground.

The winger scored a magnificent goal on his Premier League debut against Burnley on Monday night, whilst Aina has been defensively solid all season, despite playing out of position at left-back.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ola Aina look to be absolute bargains

For a combined value of £3 million, the former Chelsea pair of Hudson-Odoi and Aina look to be absolute bargains.

Aina produced another impressive display and it’s exciting to see where he could go as a Forest player.

The defender looks like the sort of player who will work tirelessly to ensure he stays in Steve Cooper’s side.

As a result, he looks like becoming a very good character and a player who will quickly adhere himself to the fans.

On the other hand, Hudson-Odoi produced a positive performance on Monday night, opening the door for a long and successful stint at the club.

His direct nature when attacking gives Forest an outlet they’ve been crying out for and for just £3 million could prove to be an absolute steal and a great investment for the future.

It may still be early days for the former Chelsea pair, but the signs are all positive and long may their great form continue.
