Sky Sports commentator Seb Hutchinson was a guest on the Garibaldi Red Podcast this week, talking all things Nottingham Forest.
Hutchinson has been the lead commentator for both of Forest’s last two home games which were both live on Sky.
The commentator admitted that he thinks Forest have improved since last season, but that they drift in and out of games too much and need to be more consistent.
However, Hutchinson believes that Cooper may still struggle in this one key area this season…

Hutchinson on Cooper knowing his best starting XI
During his time on the Garibaldi Red Podcast this week, Hutchinson admitted that he fears Cooper may not know his best starting XI after bringing in 13 new arrivals this summer.
“Steve Cooper’s got a lot of good players at his disposal but the big challenge he has now is choosing a consistent XI.
“That is what I think will be the biggest issue Cooper will face this season.
“Of course, Forest will have injuries but other teams so far have had more significant problems which cause an issue, but his issue is choosing a consistent XI.
“It will certainly give some consistency to the performances because every time I’ve watched Forest this season, they go through spells of playing really well, but then also really poorly.

A good start, but can always be better
A phrase used by Cooper in interviews often this season is a good start but it can always get better.
The Reds have picked up great wins against Chelsea and Sheffield United, but fine margins could’ve seen Cooper’s side beat Manchester United and Burnley after very good starts to the game.
Forest just need to learn to kill the game off when they have the chance. Multiple times this season, they have been in control and not punished sides.
