Nottingham Forest star Danilo has teased on Instagram that he’s returned to training. The Reds midfielder hasn’t played since Forest last won a game back in September against Chelsea.
The player hurt his hamstring in the game at Stamford Bridge. Forest boss Steve Cooper has been unable to call on Danilo ever since and he will be keen to have him back available.
The 22-year-old was a £16 million signing made by Forest in the January transfer window. Last season he made 15 appearances for the Reds and scored three goals as the team won secured Premier League survival.
Danilo teases Forest return on Instagram
This would be huge news for the Reds. Earlier today, Danilo has seemingly teased that he’s ready to return to Forest action and is back on the training pitch with his teammates.

The shot that has been posted to Danilo’s story shows him heading out from the indoor training facility onto the grass. He’s spotted alongside Felipe, Andrey Santos and Murillo as the team prepare to train.
As a result, it would appear that Danilo is clearly getting better following his injury. The player would add something a little bit different to the current midfield options and he’d be a useful player to be able to call upon.
Stephen Kelly raved about Forest star Danilo after a 4-3 win over Southampton last season. He called him ‘sensational’ after watching the game as part of the BBC coverage.
Danilo can thrive at City Ground this season
The youngster was an absolute bargain made by the Reds. Danilo cost Forest just £16 million when he checked in from Palmeiras and he’s already easily doubled his valuation.
Danilo can operate brilliantly well in a box-to-box role and he’s not afraid to take a chance in front of goal. Forest are crying out for that type of player and hopefully, he can be back on the pitch soon.
This latest post on Instagram is certainly positive. Now, it seems almost certain that Cooper will be asked to clarify the situation with his injury in this week’s press conference.
