Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo could be ready to return to action this afternoon against Aston Villa. The Reds’ performer has taken to Instagram to drop a cryptic message to the club’s supporters.

Danilo hasn’t played since he limped out of the action against Chelsea in September as Forest won. The youngster suffered an injured hamstring and as a result, he’s been on the sidelines.

Now, however, he could be set to bolster Steve Cooper’s squad. Forest are facing an in-form Villa side this afternoon and having Danilo available could be useful.

Danilo suggests he might return today

This would be a huge boost to Forest boss Cooper if he could get Danilo back in his squad. The Brazilian player might have to settle for a place on the bench today, however.

Orel Mangala, Ibrahim Sangare and Nicolas Dominguez are forming quite a unit in midfield. With that in mind, it appears unlikely that Cooper would want to separate that.

On Instagram, however, Danilo has posted something that suggests he could be back today. He placed the words, ‘Let’s go with God’, along with a photoshopped advert confirming today’s game.

Last season, Danilo was praised by the BBC for his efforts during a win for Forest over Southampton. Stephen Kelly was covering the game and the pundit called him ‘sensational’.

Danilo has a huge role to play at Forest

The player signed for Forest for £16 million from Palmeiras during the January transfer window. He’s done really well since checking in and he already looks like a steal.

The talented player scored three crucial goals towards the end of last season. Danilo was instrumental in the end as Forest staved off the threat of relegation with a game to spare.

Forest player Danilo might not be ready to start the game today but just having him back in the squad would be a huge boost. The Reds have far too many injuries once again and this would be a welcome return to the team if Danilo is named in the squad today.
