Nino is expected to sign for Nottingham Forest in January and he’s now been called up for the Brazil squad. The centre-back looks set to head to the City Ground after several years with Fluminense.
The 26-year-old is going to leave the Brazilian outfit after helping them win the Copa Libertadores at the weekend. He’s been the club’s captain for several years and has made over 200 appearances.
Now, a European adventure awaits for the defender, with a £6 million deal in the offing. He will join a contingent of Brazilian stars at Forest, with Felipe, Danilo, Andrey Santos and Murillo all currently in place at the club.
Nino handed Brazil call-up
This is big news for incoming Forest player Nino and it comes from Vamo Fluminense. They’ve conferred that the player and his teammate Andre have both been called up by Brazil.

Later this month, they will face two important games against Colombia and old foes Argentina. Now, Nino will hope to further enhance his reputation by getting the chance to play in those games.
The defender has never played for his country before and will be hoping for a maiden cap. One thing it would ensure is that his confidence heading to Forest couldn’t possibly be any higher at present.
Nino looks like a strong signing for Forest
Think Murillo, but think right-footed. It’s been no secret that Forest want to recruit that type of player and in Nino they look to have found the perfect player.
Forest are getting themselves a player who simply loves to defend in Nino. He can often be found sticking his body on the line, winning tackles and he’s also pretty ferocious in the air.
Nino will obviously have to prove himself to the fan base. But with a fee of just £6 million being mooted, it looks like a signing that is worth doing.
