Paul Robinson has given his take on Nottingham Forest manager Steven Cooper.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and England international goalkeeper has said that rumours about the future of Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest will not go away.
The BBC Sport pundit has noted that the Forest fans love Cooper. Robinson made the comments in the build-up to the Premier League match between the Reds and Everton at the City Ground on Saturday.
Everton won 1-0. Winger Dwight McNeil scored the only goal of the match midway through the second half.
Paul Robinson on Nottingham Forest fans and Steve Cooper
The Daily Mail reported last month that Cooper is under pressure at Forest, who are now just six points above the relegation zone.
Robinson told BBC Sport: “Interesting that Steve Cooper came out before both teams tonight after the recent rumours. They love him here but those rumours won’t go away.”
Nottingham Forest should not sack Steve Cooper
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest should not sack Steve Cooper. After all, he was the manager who kept the Reds in the Premier League last season.
Cooper is a better and more experienced manager now. After making sure that Forest did not get relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, he now fully knows what to do.

True, Forest’s recent results have been disappointing, but we all expected the Reds to be fighting for survival in the Premier League anyway this season.
There are three worse sides than Forest. Sheffield United and Burnley have been really bad this season. Luton Town and Bournemouth have not been great either.
I believe that if Forest stick with Cooper, then they will escape the dreaded drop to the Championship.
Forest will face Fulham in the Premier League on Wednesday evening before taking on Wolverhampton Wanderers next Saturday.
