Fulham star Tom Cairney praised Nottingham Forest after he scored during a 5-0 win over the Reds last night.
The Cottagers ran riot at Craven Cottage to pull clear of Forest in the Premier League table.
Steve Cooper is under massive pressure, with reports suggesting that replacements are being lined up.
However, a claim made earlier today has suggested that Cooper is likely to be in charge when Forest go to Wolves on Saturday.
Cairney praises Forest after thrashing them
The Nottingham-born midfielder was a standout during the clash against Forest last night.
He’s admitted that he probably ran the risk of upsetting his dad by netting the fifth and final goal for Fulham.

Cairney also found time to praise the Forest fan base for their efforts in trying to rouse their team last night.
He told Amazon Prime: “It’s a huge club. My dad’s a Forest fan so he’s probably going to tell me off after this game. He’s a huge Forest fan as well and he loves Stuart Pearce. Massive fan base and it’s great to see them back in the Premier League anyway.”
Forest players owe Cooper a performance
Cairney is right with lots of what he says about Forest. It’s great that the club is back in the Premier League but the fans – and Cooper, deserve better.
Some players last night simply didn’t do enough. They were passive and ultimately threw the towel in when the going got tough.
Cairney won’t have an easier game in the middle of the park than he had last night. He deserved his late goal and took it very nicely indeed.
Cooper needs a performance from his players on Saturday and he claimed after last night that he’s told them their current performance levels won’t do.
Hopefully, everyone can come together at the weekend and a big three points can be claimed. Indeed, Cooper is absolutely desperate for them.
