Morgan Gibbs-White has told Brennan Johnson that he really misses him at Nottingham Forest. The Reds attacker came up against his former teammate on Friday night as Tottenham defeated Forest.
Gibbs-White and Johnson struck up a great partnership last season. They both contributed to Forest staying in the Premier League and it was a shame that the Reds had to sell their academy graduate.
Financial fair play was hanging over Forest though and offloading Johnson did make sense from that perspective. Johnson has made a decent start to life at Tottenham, although he was forced off early doors on Friday after a cut to the head.
Forest star Gibbs-White sends message to Johnson on Instagram
The Reds need to get back to winning ways pretty quickly and in Gibbs-White, Forest have a player who deeply cares about doing well for the football club.
After the game on Friday, he took to Instagram to state that he really misses Johnson at Forest. He simply posted, ‘Miss you’, after the Tottenham man had thanked supporters for their well wishes regarding his injury.

Gibbs-White has struggled for some consistency this season. He’s only scored once and that goal came from the penalty spot during a game against Brighton recently.
Forest have to fill Johnson void
The 22-year-old is sorely missed at Forest. Shortly after he departed the club, it was claimed that Forest felt that Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi were signed as possible replacements.
Elanga has largely done alright but Hudson-Odoi has already had some injury problems to speak of. Still, both players are at a good age and do have plenty of time on their side.
Forest need Gibbs-White to come good too. He’s technically the best player that Forest have at the football club and they desperately need him to start firing in the near future.
It’s a touching comment that Gibbs-White has told Johnson that he misses him at Forest. Now, however, it’s time to move on as the Reds try and pull clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone.
