Nottingham Forest now want Keylor Navas during the January transfer window as Nuno Espirito Santo looks for new additions.
That is according to Football Insider.
So, what exactly is the situation involving Keylor Navas and Nottingham Forest? Let’s take a look…
Nottingham Forest want Keylor Navas
A new goalkeeper looks to be in the sights of Espirito Santo as he gets his feet under the table, with Jose Sa also linked with a move to Forest.
Football Insider believes Forest are now exploring the possibility of taking Navas on another loan deal until the end of the season.
The 37-year-old custodian spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground as Forest survived relegation from the Premier League.
Navas – who has won three Champions League titles – hasn’t been in favour at PSG and would likely welcome the chance to play regularly at Forest.
The man with 112 caps for Costa Rica hasn’t played since being substituted during a 1-0 win for Forest over Arsenal in May.

He has been on the bench for PSG on 10 occasions this season but could not get a move away from the club this month.
When Navas was at Forest last season, Neco Williams raved about him and called him ‘massive’.
Navas would be short-term City Ground option
Forest are having a bit of a drama with their goalkeeping situation at the moment.
Both Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos were signed in the summer, with Turner the current number one.
Turner made Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week for his last two performances but he has made high-profile errors against Liverpool and Manchester United.
Vlachodimos has made just five appearances and based on the reports, Espirito Santo isn’t fond of either goalkeeper.
Navas would be capable of doing a job for Forest. He proved as much last season but once again, it would be a short-term fix.
Forest invested in two new goalkeepers during the summer and perhaps Espirito Santo will have to work with his current options for now.
Rumour rating – 6/10 – Given what he achieved at Forest last season, it’s hard to turn our noses up at this.
However, he’s not played all season and that in itself is a risk.
Navas has a glowing reputation and very few goalkeepers can boast a CV like his but Forest must weigh up whether they really need him or not.
