Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has given an update on Callum Wilson ahead of the match against Nuno’s Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Howe has said whether or not Wilson is fit enough to start for Newcastle against Forest.
So, what has Eddie Howe said about Callum Wilson ahead of Nottingham Forest against Newcastle United? Let’s take a look.
Callum Wilson ready to start for Newcastle United vs Nottingham Forest
Well, Nottingham Forest will take on Newcastle United at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has been giving an update on his players, naming who is available and who is not.
Howe has said that winger Anthony Gordon and striker Alexander Isak will not play due to injury issues.

However, Wilson is fit and available and will start against Nuno’s side, according to the Newcastle boss.
The Northern Echo quotes Howe as saying about Wilson: “Callum has trained well this week. We’ve been really pleased with him. I thought he did well last week in a 45-minute cameo.
“Prior to that, he hadn’t really trained with the team. He was thrust back into action, but he looks good and is getting his sharpness back. He’s had a good week in front of goal, so I’d say he’s ready (to start).”
My View: Nottingham Forest need to be careful about Callum Wilson
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest need to be careful about Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson at the City Ground.
Even though Wilson has had injury problems this season, I think that he is a huge threat against Forest.
The £20 million (Sky Sports) Englishman is a very good striker who takes his chances and is a nuisance to play against.
True, Wilson has had fitness issues in recent times, but the 31-year-old is fit now. If he is ready to start against Forest, then it means that the former Bournemouth star has overcome his fitness issues.
