Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno has given his verdict on Divock Origi ahead of the Premier League match against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Origi, a former Liverpool striker, joined Forest on loan from AC Milan in the summer of 2023.
So, what has Nuno said about Divock Origi ahead of Nottingham Forest against Liverpool at the City Ground? Let’s take a look.
Divock Origi could start for Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
Well, Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno has been looking ahead to the Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, and he has been singing the praises of Divock Origi.
Nuno has said that the former Liverpool striker has been improving and has suggested that he could start for Forest on Saturday.
Origi joined Forest on loan from AC Milan in the summer of 2023. The 28-year-old striker has made two starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, providing one assist in the process.

The Liverpool Echo quotes Nuno as saying about Origi: “I still haven’t decided who is going to play but I can tell you Divock is improving.
“He has been in and out, some small issues which has been delaying his progress. But in the first half (against Manchester United) he was amazing and for us, he is a solution because he can play right, left side and in the centre. So we need the best version of Divock.”
My View: Divock Origi will have a point to prove vs Liverpool
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest striker Divock Origi will have a point to prove against his former club Liverpool.
During his time at Liverpool, Origi was a bit-player. True, he won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League with the Reds, and yes, he scored some important goals.
But, Origi was never a regular starter at Liverpool. He may be a cult hero among the Anfield faithful, but the 28-year-old Belgium international striker is not someone that the Merseyside club have missed since his departure in 2022.
I think that the striker will have a point to prove to Liverpool. The Belgian could be looking to show FSG that they should have handed him a new deal instead of releasing him when his contract ran out.
