Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has given his verdict on the City Ground after playing against Nuno’s Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest took on Liverpool at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Forest lost the match 1-0. Darwin Nunez scored the only goal of the game in the ninth minute of injury time. It was hugely controversial.
Alexis Mac Allister praises Nottingham Forest stadium City Ground
Alexis Mac Allister provided the assist for Nunez’s goal, and the Argentina international midfielder, who played well in the game, has described the City Ground as a tough place.
Mac Allister told BBC Sport: “This is such a special day for us. To win it like that is not easy. We came to a tough place.”
Nottingham Forest have to bounce back
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest will have to bounce back from the defeat to Liverpool. The emotions are high now, but the players have to regroup.
Liverpool were the favourites to win against Forest. And, Jurgen Klopp’s side picked up all three points from the game.

The match against Liverpool was a ‘free hit’ for Forest, so I think that they should not dwell too much on the result.
Of course, a point against a team like Liverpool would have been great for Forest, but a defeat to a side that could end up winning the Premier League title this season is not embarrassing.
Forest are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 27 matches, just four points above the relegation zone.
Nuno’s side will take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League next weekend before locking horns with relegation rivals Luton Town.
