Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno has given an encouraging update on one of his star players ahead of the match against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Forest will take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Nuno’s side are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Nottingham Forest have picked up 24 points from 27 matches. The Reds are three points above Luton Town, who are now third from bottom.
Chris Wood has had injury problems in recent weeks, but there is some encouraging news on the fitness of the former Newcastle United striker.

The £15 million (The Athletic) striker is back in training now as he continues his recovery from injury, and Forest manager Nuno has said that the New Zealand international could play against Brighton away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Brighton are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment, but the Seagulls are in poor form at the moment. They have lost two of their last four Premier League games and were hammered by AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League in midweek.
When asked about Wood, Nuno said, as quoted in NottinghamshireLive: “Let’s see. It is the same, he is still getting involved with the team so let’s wait and see.”
My View: Nottingham Forest need Chris Wood
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest need Chris Wood in the final weeks and months of the season.
Forest need all of their players fit and available. After all, Nuno’s side are in danger of going down.
Wood is a very good striker who has done well in the Premier League. He knows how to score goals, and goals are what is going to make sure that Forest do not get relegated.
The 32-year-old striker has made nine starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Forest this season. He has scored eight goals and given one assist in those games.
