Nottingham Forest take on Fulham in the Premier League this evening and Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed his team. The Reds are in dire need of a victory and they will fancy their chances on home soil against the Cottagers tonight.

The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday in a game where they perhaps had enough chances to win. However, it wasn’t to be and now the elusive wait for a win goes on.

Tonight sees Forest play back-to-back home games for just the third time this season. The last time that happened the Reds lost to Everton and Tottenham, with a win over West Ham following a defeat Newcastle the second time around.

Tonight, the onus will be on Forest to make life difficult for Fulham. Sheffield United put three past the West Londoners on Saturday and clearly, there are some weaknesses in their armour.

Espirito Santo has now confirmed his team via the official club channels and we’ve taken a look at how Forest will line up this evening.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham – The tale of the tape

Well, it’s been a season of contrast for the two clubs in tonight’s Premier League contest. For Fulham, it’s been another season where they have consolidated their place in the top flight and for Forest it’s another fight against relegation.

The 5-0 reverse at Craven Cottage was the beginning of the end for Steve Cooper. Evangelos Marinakis was so incensed after that game that he threw his matchday pass into a bush outside the stadium.

Forest are probably a different team from the last time the two sides met. Fulham have continued kicking on under Marco Silva and it’s been claimed in the past that Marinakis is a big fan of the Fulham boss.

Wins over Fulham have been few and far between for Forest. During the promotion-winning campaign of 2021/22, the Reds went to Craven Cottage and secured a 1-0 win but were thumped 4-0 on home soil.

Last season, it was two defeats for Forest against Fulham. In the home game, the Cottagers scored three times in six minutes and the Reds succumbed to a 3-2 defeat. Away, it was a comfortable victory for Fulham who won 2-0.

Over the years, the teams have met 105 times in competitive fixtures. Forest have won 28, lost 45 and 32 have ended in a share of the spoils.
