After a long-running saga, Nottingham Forest this week managed to announce the signing of goalkeeper Carlos Miguel.
The Brazilian stopper has ended weeks of speculation by signing a four-year contract at the City Ground.
Miguel has joined Forest from Corinthians where for a short while he had been a teammate of Reds defender Murillo.
It was claimed this week that Miguel had spoken with the Forest star Murillo before signing terms at Forest and the pair clearly get on.
Now, the defender has broken his silence after the goalkeeper checked in and he’s welcomed him emphatically.

Murillo reacts as Nottingham Forest sign Carlos Miguel
It would appear as though the 22-year-old is very happy to see his former teammate check in on Trentside.
So much so that he’s already seemingly made his mind up over who should keep goal for the Reds next season.
Murillo took to Instagram to welcome the player to Forest, simply posting: “The best goalkeeper.”
The centre-back also put a series of emojis next to his message, with two flames accompanying his comment.

Miguel has potential to star at Forest
At 6ft 8in the goalkeeper is now officially the biggest player in the Premier League.
Naturally, he will be judged on his form for the Reds and he should provide good competition for Matz Sels.
This comment from Murillo perhaps won’t go down too well with the Belgian who hasn’t returned from Belgium duty at Euro 2024 yet.
Miguel has cost Forest around £4 million and it remains to be seen which stopper Nuno Espirito Santo will go with next season.
However, given how confident he sounded in his first interview with the club, it would seem that Miguel won’t be content with being a number two at Forest.
