Nottingham Forest’s summer has provided their fans with a lot of optimism for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.

Nuno Espirito Santo will have been glad to see the back of last season with Forest having just managed to secure themselves Premier League survival.

However, the summer has acted as a reset button at the City Ground with the Reds coming into the new season with a fresh lease of life.

Forest have acted efficiently in the transfer market with six new faces through the doors already and there have been some solid pre-season displays.

But it does seem as if Forest feel there is still more to be squeezed out of their summer as they eye signing number seven.

Nottingham Forest eye two Premier League players

Forest have been one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window across the entire Premier League.

Not only has Nuno seen six new players signed this summer, but the Reds have also been able to get rid of some of their players.

But the Reds are looking for more with Forest having struck an agreement with Talleres for Ramon Sosa in a deal worth around £13m.

And it seems as if the Paraguay international is not the only player Forest have shortlisted ahead of the deadline at the end of the month.

According to talkSPORT, Forest have shortlisted Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale as well as Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone.

The pair both find themselves searching for moves this summer which could offer them first team action.

Forest are not alone in their hunt of these two players with Wolves and Southampton also credited in the report.

This may not come to the delight of Carlos Miguel who was only signed a matter of weeks ago from Corinthians.

Nottingham Forest eyeing replacement for Matt Turner

It may not surprise many but Matt Turner is already up for sale at Forest this summer just 12 months after joining.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper was signed by Steve Cooper in a deal worth around £10m but has struggled to establish himself at the City Ground.

Clearly, Nuno is not a fan of the United States international who has only played eight times under the Forest manager.

And given Nuno has already brought in two goalkeepers since January and potentially another one to come, it does not make for good reading if you are Matt Turner.
