Nottingham Forest have one week now to get in their last preparations before they kick off their season against Bournemouth.

There is no doubting this has been a successful summer for Forest with hard working going on both on and off the pitch.

Nuno Espirito Santo has had the full backing of Evangelos Marinakis this summer with the Forest owner having already brought in six new signings.

But the fun is not stopping there for the onwatching Forest fans as the Reds are looking to continue their summer recruitment with even more signings.

Forest have recently had a bid rejected for the Porto winger Galeno with the Portuguese side looking for in excess of £30m for the Brazilian.

However, there is now another deal which Forest are looking to wrap up over the weekend.

Nottingham Forest trying to sign seventh player this weekend

The business done this summer has been mightily impressive with some of the new recruits already shining.

Elliot Anderson wowed the fans again in Forest’s friendly against Olympiacos on Thursday night in Greece.

Although the business done so far has been positive, the Reds are still looking to make deals happen as Forest consider an improved offer for Galeno.

But there are other options on the radar for the Reds this summer and Marinakis is trying to get one of them onboard this weekend.

According to Argentine journalist Javier Nievas, Forest are trying to conclude a deal for Ramon Sosa by the end of the weekend.

Forest are said to be ‘optimistic’ about getting the Paraguayan winger in this summer with all roads leading to his exit.

It is now said to be impossible for Sosa to play in Talleres’ upcoming game against River Plate as he is not at the required fitness.

Personal terms are not an issue with the player, but Forest must now come to a resolution on the payment structure with the Argentine side.

Ramon Sosa is now holding out for Nottingham Forest move

The scenes in Argentina have began to get a little bit ugly when it comes to Sosa’s future with the winger now making his stance known.

The £20m-rated Sosa is now refusing to train with Talleres as he wishes to force a move to Forest over the coming days.

However, he has been told that if Forest are unable to meet the terms demanded by Talleres then he will not be leaving the club.

An interesting few days lie ahead for Sosa and it will be made even more interesting for the winger if this move to the City Ground does not pan out for him.
