Nottingham Forest are now closing in on their seventh signing of the summer with just hours to go before the new season kicks off.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side have been one of the busiest teams across the Premier League when it comes to the transfer window this summer.
But Forest are showing no signs of stopping just yet as they still have a couple of positions which could do with strengthening.
One area of the pitch which has not been bolstered – despite having made six singings – is up front with Chris Wood still set to lead the line on the weekend.
And it seems they have now identified a striker who they are keen to bring in from a Champions League club ahead of the deadline.

Nottingham Forest eyeing forward from Arsenal before the deadline
Forest are now closing in on the signing of Ramon Sosa with the Paraguayan winger undergoing his medical on Thursday.
However, the winger is just another attacking player who Forest have brought in this summer despite addressing their need for a striker.
But it seems as if the Reds are now looking towards one of the Premier League’s top sides with Arsenal looking to offload one of their strikers.

According to Sky Sports, Forest are showing a real interest in signing Eddie Nketiah this summer with his future away from north London.
Nketiah is also receiving interest from Crystal Palace after a potential move to Bournemouth fell flat over recent hours.
But the Reds have already explored the terms of a possible deal with the Gunners as the clock ticks down on the summer window.
Would Eddie Nketiah be a good signing for Nottingham Forest?
The Arsenal striker has certainly blown hot and cold during his first seasons in the top flight with his highest return being just five goals.
However, this is a striker with ‘unbelievable‘ potential if he is able to get a run of games under his belt – which has not been the case at the Emirates.
The likes of Marseille have already shown a real interest in signing him this summer which shows even clubs who usually operate in the Champions League have also been keen.
But it is going to be a potential risk for Forest if they take on Nketiah given he is far from a proven striker in the Premier League.
