Nottingham Forest are looking to land a new striker before the transfer window closes with Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah the latest name to be linked.
The Reds are leaving no stone unturned as the club aims to really establish themselves in the Premier League this season.
Forest have also been linked with a move for Santiago Gimenez who bagged 26 goals in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord last season.
It’s Nketiah who David Ornstein claims Forest want to sign as their number one priority – although contrasting reports are starting to emerge.
Graeme Bailey exclusively told us this morning that Gimenez is actually the number one target – but Nketiah is on the shortlist at Forest.

Journalist shares how Forest are feeling about Eddie Nketiah
The Arsenal talisman will be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer and Forest looks like a possible choice for his next move.
Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas has his finger on the pulse down in London and he’s provided an update.
He told Sky Sports: “Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
“Talks between the clubs have highlighted a valuation gap but given the clubs remain in talks, there is a feeling it’s not insurmountable.
“Arsenal are understood to value Nketiah at over £30m. He’s also not the only player Forest are looking at.”
Nketiah would have a point to prove at Forest
Having spent years trying to become a first-team regular at Arsenal, it will hurt him that the club he’s grown up at wants to get rid of him.
Nketiah could have a point to prove at the City Ground and he would want to showcase that he can become a prolific goalscorer with regular game time.
Naturally, his goalscoring record – and the fee that Arsenal want – do make him a bit of a risk when it comes to Forest signing him.
However, signing Gimenez would also be a risk and Forest have some decisions to make behind the scenes over which striker would be best.
Hopefully, Forest can come to some sort of compromise with either Feyenoord or Arsenal before the window closes and get the striker the squad desperately craves.
