Nottingham Forest want to bolster their attacking ranks before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.
Santiago Gimenez is the first choice for Forest, according to Graeme Bailey, with Eddie Nketiah also on the club’s wishlist.
A talisman will likely complete the club’s jigsaw, although Alex Crook has claimed that Forest do like Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Now, a surprise link has come to light and it could see Forest make another attempt to land a versatile forward player.

Nottingham Forest want Arnaut Danjuma
According to reports, the Reds are one of the clubs keen to try and sign the Villarreal forward before the transfer deadline.
Danjuma has experience of playing in England with Bournemouth, Tottenham and Everton – with some success.
At Bournemouth he scored 17 goals in 52 appearances, registering eight assists for the Cherries too.
A loan spell with Tottenham was less fruitful with just two goals coming from 12 outings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Last season he was with Everton and once again he managed a couple of goals but this time from 20 appearances at Goodison Park.
Danjuma played in the 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid on Monday night and scored his 23rd goal for Villarreal.
Now, however, it would appear that clubs are keen to sign him, with Lille and Forest credited with interesting the forward.
Danjuma could be useful but not as the main striker signing
It would be very underwhelming for Forest to go from being linked with Gimenez and Nketiah to landing Danjuma this summer.
However, if Forest had one eye on him being versatile and an option for the flanks, perhaps Jota Silva could head out on loan.
The player is only 27 and he’s at a nice age for a forward player with Forest seeking to bring more energy and athleticism to their ranks.
Forest could possibly add the £50,000-a-week Danjuma on loan closer to the end of the window to compliment a new star striker but it shouldn’t be at the expense of that.
The Reds could do with a stellar player at the top end of the pitch and landing Danjuma should go on the backburner – at least for now.
