Nottingham Forest are close to receiving a breakthrough in the negotiations to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
It was claimed last night that Forest have now agreed on personal terms with Nketiah ahead of the move being completed.
The talisman has finally been allowed to leave Arsenal after spending many years at the club where he started in the youth academy.
Nketiah is expected to cost around £30 million and Forest remain locked in talks with the Gunners as they bid to complete the deal.
Forest have fought tooth and nail to land themselves a new striker this transfer window and it looks as though the club will avoid any late drama.

Nottingham Forest set to sign Eddie Nketiah and it’s four year in the making
According to John Percy from The Telegraph, Forest are finally landing Nketiah at the second time of asking.
The Reds will hope to complete the deal in time for Saturday in an ideal world – although that might prove a little bit tricky.
Percy claims that Sabri Lamouchi tried to sign Nketiah from Arsenal when they loaned him to Leeds in 2019.
The player chose to move to the Whites instead of Forest, with the Yorkshiremen better equipped financially and for a tilt at promotion at the time.
Nketiah scored five goals in 19 appearances during his time at Elland Road and the spell probably wasn’t as successful as it could have been.
The Hale End product is a popular player in North London and he’s scored 38 goals during his time playing senior football with the club.
Now, Forest finally look to be getting their man and hopefully, things can get moving quickly.
Forest recruitment should be praised this summer
Despite what certain TNT commentators want to think, Forest have done very well in the transfer market this summer.
The Reds have managed to keep the likes of Murillo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi, whilst remaining shrewd in the market.
Forest will hope to finalise the squad before the transfer deadline and enjoy a relatively smooth deadline day.
The last two summer windows have been quite chaotic and thankfully, Forest appear to be putting plans in place to avoid that.
Nketiah feels like a safe pair of hands when it comes to leading the Forest line and the hope will be that he can hit the ground running.
