Nottingham Forest’s return to Premier League action will see the Reds make the trip up to Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
It is going to be Nuno Espirito Santo‘s toughest challenge of the season coming up against a red hot Liverpool side.
Arne Slot has gotten off to the perfect start on Merseyside with three wins and zero goals having been conceded.
With this in mind, the pressure is off Forest on Saturday given Liverpool are the heavy favourites to take all three points.
However, Forest have shown a lot of promise in the opening three games and it is apparent Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk is cautious of underestimating the Reds.

What Virgil van Dijk said about Nottingham Forest’s attack
There will not be many who have Forest down to return to the City Ground this weekend with anything from their trip to Merseyside.
Alan Shearer has predicted Liverpool to comfortably seal all three points against Forest following their impressive start.
But it seems as if the Liverpool players are not looking to underestimate their opposition on Saturday with Forest having also made a solid start.

Speaking to the club website, Van Dijk has shared his expectations from the Forest attackers which have impressed him so far.
“First up are Forest, a team with a lot of talent, particularly in attacking areas, and one we will certainly not be taking lightly,” said the Netherlands international.
“They have given us some difficult games over the past couple of years, so we know that we will need to be at our best if we are to continue our promising start to the season.”
Chris Wood facing fatigue concern
The standout attacker over the opening three games of the 2024/25 campaign for Forest has bene striker Chris Wood.
He will be Van Dijk’s main concern on Saturday at Anfield with the New Zealand striker having netted two in Forest’s three league games.
However, Nuno has admitted Wood may be a doubt for Saturday’s game with concern over potential fatigue.
Wood spent the international break over in the United States with New Zealand and could well be suffering from possible fatigue symptoms.
