Nottingham Forest signed Jota Silva against the odds in the summer with the Reds parting with around £11 million to sign him from Vitoria in Portugal.
The player is still awaiting a first start under Nuno Espirito Santo in the Premier League but he has made five appearances from the bench.
Silva claimed an assist in the 2-2 draw against Brighton and he also bagged his first Forest goal against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
The 25-year-old has looked impressive whenever he’s been called upon and his performances have seen him push for a start in the Forest head coach’s team.
Silva is definitely in the thoughts of the boss but for whatever reason, he’s not given the versatile forward a chance from the outset in the Premier League just yet.

Jota Silva shares how Nuno Espirito Santo has helped him
The Forest head coach is striving for a winning formula – particularly on home soil and Silva will surely be due a starting berth soon.
However, as a new signing, he will have to wait patiently to get his chance in the team but it would appear that he’s happy with his boss at the City Ground.
Speaking on his new manager he’s explained what has really helped about Espirito Santo being in place during the time when he’s arrived at Forest.
He told O Jogo: “It’s been really good. It really helps in my first project outside of Portugal to have a Portuguese coach helping me.”
Silva should be handed first Premier League start vs Chelsea
Against Chelsea, Forest have absolutely nothing to lose. Nine points are already on the board and whatever happens at Stamford Bridge it’s been a great start.
As a result, Forest would be wise to send Silva out from the start and let him have a go at making a big impression from the very first whistle.
The player who can play anywhere across the front line is fearless and that trait could make him an asset for Forest in West London on Sunday.
Silva already looks like a strong signing. He wears his heart on his sleeve when he plays football and quite quickly he’s become a fan favourite on Trentside.
