Anthony Elanga says he likes one Nottingham Forest chant even more than his own one

Anthony Elanga is still waiting to hit top form for Nottingham Forest this season after his blistering 2023/24 campaign.

The winger is striving to get a regular place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s team on a frequent basis having been a substitute a number of times.

Elanga has only claimed one assist so far this season and that came in the game against Liverpool which Forest won 1-0.

By his own admission, Elanga is one of the quickest players in the Premier League and that is a very useful asset to Forest.

In the summer, Elanga was linked with Newcastle but Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis stood firm on a £50 million valuation.

The Reds signed the winger for just £15 million from Manchester United and he looks like an extremely good character in the dressing room.

The song that Forest fans sing about Elanga is a twist on the Snap classing Rhythm is a Dancer but he’s not heard that one for a little while.

He’s called on Forest fans to start it up again but first, he might have to improve his form on the pitch.

Instead, he’s picked another player’s song as his favourite and it’s the one that the fans have started for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Elanga told the club’s official media: “Callum Hudson-Odoi’s. I used to like my own, the Rhythm is a Dancer one but I’ve not been hearing that one recently so Callum’s is my favourite one.”

It has to be said that the song the Forest fan base have created for Hudson-Odoi is pretty special at the moment.

Hopefully, Hudson-Odoi can get some more goals and it can be sung more often this season as the campaign progresses.

His song is a twist on the Estelle classic American Boy and hints at Forest fans wanting Hudson-Odoi to lead the club into Europe.

That does feel like a little tongue in cheek at this stage, but if Forest can iron out the home form then perhaps it’s something that can be looked at.

Hudson-Odoi and Elanga are both assets to the Forest squad and hopefully, the pair can keep striving for top form this season.
