Nottingham Forest will be returning to Premier League action on Monday night with a clash at the City Ground against Crystal Palace.
It has been a solid start to the 2024/25 campaign for Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side who are currently sat inside the top half of the table.
Forest have even been able to provide the surprise result of the season so far by beating Liverpool at Anfield with a narrow 1-0 victory.
However, it has not all been positive for the Reds with their penultimate game before the break providing them their first defeat of the term against Fulham.
And there has been further bad news to land at the City Ground on Friday with the fall out from their draw away to Brighton & Hove Albion coming from the FA.

Nuno Espirito Santo handed three-game ban
Having been shown a red card in the draw on the south coast, Nuno has now been hit with a three-game sideline ban.
This came on the back of Morgan Gibbs-White‘s red card during the game which did not go down well with the Forest bench after referee Rob Jones initially indicated the midfielder won the ball.
Nuno has also been slapped with a £55,000 fine and Gibbs-White has been issued a £20,000 fine.
Forest were provided the news just before Nuno took to the media on Friday afternoon which allowed the manager to share his immediate response.
“I’m surprised it’s a big sanction but there’s nothing we can do. It’s not for me to judge, my job is to move forward and make sure the coaching staff are ready to help the team,” Nuno told the media.
“We had a hearing, everything was normal. The sanction has been decided. Let’s go.”
Morgan Gibbs-White handed one-match ban
Ahead of the game on Monday, Oliver Glasner has named six Forest players who he is wary of with his Palace side ready to travel to the City Ground.
Having been sent off during the game against Brighton, Gibbs-White has also been handed a one-match ban for the incident in question.
Although Gibbs-White is currently sidelined through injury, Nuno has shared his disappointment with the decision from the FA.
“It’s not nice when you don’t have a player available,” Nuno added.
“It’s not in the right moment, he’s still injured. Hopefully for the next game he’s going to be available.”
