Crystal Palace just couldn’t find an equaliser against Nottingham Forest on Monday Night Football, and Oliver Glasner suggested that was down to one man.

Nottingham Forest finally got their home record up and running against Crystal Palace thanks to a second-half strike from Chris Wood.

The Reds have been superb defensively to start the season, and yesterday was no different, keeping a clean sheet and cementing their place as the second-best defence in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo now has just two games left of his suspension, with the next clash coming up against former Forest boss Steve Cooper.

Leicester are enjoying a decent start to the season of their own and put three past Southampton last time out, so the defence will need to be on top form once again.

Interestingly, Oliver Glasner praised the efforts of one Nottingham Forest player who played a big part in keeping the clean sheet on Monday.

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner highlighted the importance of one moment in the game, which saw him call a Nottingham Forest player ‘unbelievable’.

Speaking after the game to SuperSportTV, Glasner hailed Matz Sels for his unbelievable save.

“The time where we conceded, we had the momentum. It looked like we controlled the game, but then it was a long ball and 1-0 down. They don’t concede many goals at the moment. It was an unbelievable save (to deny) Schlupp.”
