Nottingham Forest must have the FA on speed dial at this point as the interactions keep on coming, with suspensions to Morgan Gibbs-White and Nuno Espirito Santo being announced.
Evangelos Marinakis is the latest Nottingham Forest member to be hit with a suspension, which looks set to be a five-game stadium ban set by the FA.
However, Forest have released an official statement saying they’ve appealed the decision.
This all comes after the aftermath of the red card for Morgan Gibbs-White during Nottingham Forest vs Brighton earlier on in the season.
The most annoying part is that an independent committee found Gibbs-White to have been wronged with the red card after Rob Jones’ decision.
Now, fans have been reacting to one of the FA sanctions and noticed a major inconsistency.

FA hand suspensions to Morgan Gibbs-White and Nuno Espirito Santo
The FA have handed a three-game suspension to Nuno and a one-game suspension to Morgan Gibbs-White for their parts in the aftermath of the red card decision.
Luckily for Gibbs-White, he’s out injured and wasn’t going to be fit to make the Crystal Palace clash, so it won’t matter too much for him.
Here’s the statement made by the FA.
“Nuno Espirito Santo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabian Hurzeler were charged following incidents in the 83rd minute of the Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday 22 September.
“It was alleged that the Nottingham Forest head coach acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official. The Nottingham Forest midfielder allegedly acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards the fourth official after being sent off. It was alleged that the Brighton & Hove Albion manager acted in an improper manner.
“Nuno Espirito Santo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabian Hurzeler admitted to their respective charges. The independent Regulatory Commission imposed a two-match touchline suspension and £55,000 fine on the Nottingham Forest head coach, which activated a further one-match touchline ban that had been suspended, as well as a one-match suspension and £20,000 fine on the Nottingham Forest midfielder. The Brighton & Hove Albion manager was fined £8,000 after accepting the standard penalty.
“The independent Regulatory Commission’s written reasons for its decisions in relation to Nuno Espirito Santo and Morgan Gibbs-White will be published in due course.”
Nottingham Forest fans react to FA charges
When speaking on X, these Nottingham Forest fans all said the same thing about the lack of a charge for Nicolas Jackson.
“So Forest get more punishment but this is okay? Anybody care to explain?”, @Lineys22 said.
@ImJamieMartin wasn’t happy: “A reminder that Nicholas Jackson was NOT punished for hitting Morato just a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if this constitutes improper conduct, perhaps?”
@ReddogMacca stated: “I think what the @premierleague and @FA_PGMOL are saying is, if I’m reading it all correctly is @nffc #nffc in future if tensions are high just slap opponents players around the head instead of using hurty words towards the incompetent officials then we will be fine.”
@CallumCastel7 mentioned: “What punishment would Morato get if this was the other way round?”
“Hello @FAspokesperson your organisation have clearly missed this and have obviously been too busy punishing forest, you can’t shout at people but can slap them? Your a disgrace.”, @OOffthepitch said.
@ls_a37 commented: “No charge for Nicholas Jackson for fish slapping though, joke.”
