Morgan Gibbs-White was brought off with an injury against Chelsea last time out, and Nottingham Forest have now provided an update on the midfielder.
Nuno Espirito Santo will have been hoping his star man will be fit to face Crystal Palace on Monday in the Premier League, but that won’t matter anymore after his suspension.
Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off for a second bookable offence against Brighton and Hove Albion earlier on in the season by Rob Jones.
However, an independent panel found that Gibbs-White shouldn’t have been sent off.
Regardless, he’s now been given a further one-match suspension and a £20,000 fine for his role in the angry scenes following his second yellow card.
An injury update has now come out involving the Englishman, as Nuno spoke to the press ahead of Monday’s clash.

Morgan Gibbs-White injury latest at Nottingham Forest
Morgan Gibbs-White was in the news for his girlfriend’s social media post earlier on in the week, as he was seen on crutches during their day out.
Now, Nuno Espirito Santo has provided a bit more of an official update on the midfielder, and the suspension now looks like a blessing in disguise.
Speaking in his press conference via Nottingham Forest’s YouTube channel, he stated that Gibbs-White is getting better but is still not ready to return.
“It was in the game against Chelsea he went out with a lot of pain, and he’s still recovering. He’s getting much better day by day, but it’s still going to take some time.”
He was then asked a question about if he’ll make the Leicester game, in which he responded.
“It’s always a day-by-day assessment, you know, it’s always with the medical department and the player to see how he is. For now for Palace, not available.”
Who replaces Morgan Gibbs-White against Crystal Palace?
Well, one name that Nottingham Forest fans called for prior to the Fulham clash was Jota Silva.
He’s not had a huge amount of chances since joining in the summer from Portugal, but in the chances he has had he’s looked bright and dangerous on the ball.
Summer signing Morato even called Jota Silva a ‘monster’ after the Chelsea clash.
Jota Silva already has a goal and an assist to his name to follow on from 15 goals and seven assists last season at his previous club Vitoria.
