Nottingham Forest secured bragging rights over Leicester City with three points on Friday night in their 3-1 victory.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side were able to climb up the Premier League table once again as they ended the night in fifth spot.
The win against Leicester came just days after Alan Pardew predicted Forest’s impressive run of form to hit the rocks over the coming weeks.
With Ryan Yates opening the scoring, it was Chris Wood who was able to secure the points for Forest with two second-half goals.
Jamie Carragher has been left seriously impressed by Wood’s start to the new campaign and the striker has now done something which Stan Collymore has achieved at Forest.

What Chris Wood and Stan Collymore have both done for Nottingham Forest
After permanently signing for Forest last season, Wood has been in sensational goalscoring form with a return of 15 goals last season alone.
Only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (10) has been able to provide a better return than Wood (7) in the Premier League this season.
And the two goals on Friday night saw Wood equal a tally set by former Forest forward Collymore during his time at the club.
Wood has now returned 22 goals in a Forest shirt in the Premier League which is equal to what Collymore provided.
Only Bryan Roy (24) has scored more goals in the Premier League than Wood and Collymore.
At the rate in which Wood is finding the back of the net it may only take a few weeks for the New Zealand international to become the club’s top Premier League scorer.
Forest need to tie Wood down to a new contract
Having not exactly shown his best form during his time at Newcastle United, the 32-year-old was not handed a long-term deal at Forest.
Wood’s Forest contract is now set to expire at the end of the season with January the last opportunity for Forest to cash in on him, currently.
Of course, the Reds won’t be wishing to lose their leading scorer midway through the season but they will surely be needing to push forward any talks to secure him to a new deal.
And it is a contract which Wood would be fully deserving of as he has scored 63% of their goals in the league this season and is reportedly earning £35k-per-week less than their top earner James Ward-Prowse.
