Edu Gaspar appears to be set to join up with Evangelos Marinakis’ multi-club model, and he’s already a fan of one Nottingham Forest player in particular.
Nottingham Forest are in a position that many never thought would be possible, with just Liverpool and Manchester City ahead of them in the table.
Nuno Espirito Santo deserves huge credit for the way he’s set his side up and the squad he’s built at the City Ground this summer.
Chris Wood’s rise in form has helped massively, but it’s the additions of Nikola Milenkovic and Elliot Anderson that have really transformed their respective departments.
With the second-best defensive record in the Premier League and 14 goals scored already, it really is the perfect start for the Reds.
And having watched from afar, Edu is already a big fan of one Nottingham Forest player from his time at fellow Premier League club Arsenal.

Edu is already a big fan of Murillo from his time at Arsenal
It looks as if Edu is set to take up some kind of role with the multi-club model that Evangelos Marinakis has built, with an announcement still yet to be made on exactly what he’ll be doing.
Edu has an eye for a good player, so it makes sense for Murillo to be someone he’s been really impressed with at Arsenal.
Interestingly, it was claimed in June by Chris Wheatley (ShotsTV) that Edu really likes Murillo, and was pushing for Mikel Arteta to sign him at Arsenal.
“The Nottingham Forest defender, Murillo, he’s attracted a lot of interest. Of course, he had an amazing first season at Forest, plucked from Corinthians. And he’s really caught a lot of attention from teams across the Premier League. Tottenham, as well, really like him. I think it’s more Edu at Arsenal that likes Murillo than Arteta.”
Murillo ended up staying put in the summer transfer window as Nottingham Forest fended off interest, and now the roles may reverse with Edu likely looking to keep him at the club, depending on his role.
Murillo’s season to date at Nottingham Forest
Murillo has gone from a promising player in Brazil to one of the household centre-back names in the Premier League this season, which is a credit to his hard work.
As a reward for Murillo’s efforts this season, he recently received news of a call-up to the Brazilian national team.
Ian Wright has grown to love Murillo too after seeing his performances for Nottingham Forest, and he even stated that he would pay to watch him.
Being from Brazil himself, Edu could be a great influence for Murillo and may have a big say in the future of the central defender.
