Evangelos Marinakis has been busy trying to persuade Edu to join forces with him, and now it appears as if he’s eyeing another takeover away from Nottingham Forest.
Evangelos Marinakis has taken some flack over the years, but he’s built something truly special at Nottingham Forest, allowing fans to dream.
Simon Jordan even spoke out about how well Marinakis has done at Forest, even taking them up from the Championship in comparison to his good friend Nigel Doughty.
He’s backed Nuno Espirito Santo this summer and it’s already paid off heavily, with Nikola Milenkovic and Elliot Anderson two players who have had massive impacts.
However, it doesn’t look as if he’s done there as the Nottingham Forest owner has something else up his sleeve away from the City Ground.
Evangelos Marinakis looking to add another club to his portfolio
Rio Ave, Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos are the three clubs currently under Evangelos Marinakis’ ownership, but that doesn’t seem to be enough.
Edu Gaspar looks set to play some kind of role for Marinakis and his three clubs, and we wait to find out details on exactly what that will involve.

Interestingly, it appears as if Marinakis isn’t satisfied with what he currently has on offer, as he’s on the look out for another club.
According to The Telegraph, Marinakis is also said to be considering the takeover of a fourth club, with Monza in Italy a possible target, which could also fall under the umbrella of Edu.
Evangelos Marinakis’ amazing gesture this season at Nottingham Forest
Viv Anderson tried to sell one of his European Cup-winning medals, but Marinakis was having none of it, so he purchased it and decided to stick it in the club’s museum.
This led John McGovern to praise the Nottingham Forest owner for his kind gesture.
“He’s a very generous man and he’s involved in a number of different charities and on this occasion we’ve got a display cabinet and museum at the club and it’s going to be great for people to see what it actually looks like.”
Many fans from other clubs just see the accusations from the Brighton clash and think he’s a monster, but deep down he’s just a passionate owner who wants what is best for his club.
