Nottingham Forest are flying in the Premier League right now and have exceeded expectations so far.
Football fans everywhere had Forest as dead certs for relegation this season having survived narrowly during 2023/24.
Gary Lineker has backtracked on Forest, calling himself an ‘idiot’, whilst other pundits already have egg on their faces.
Building blocks are being put in place off the pitch too, with Edu set to accept Evangelos Marinakis’ offer and join Forest from Arsenal.
He has a reputation as one of the best in the business when it comes to being a sporting director and it feels like a coup for the club.
This weekend, it’s a home game with Newcastle for Forest and that will once again provide a big test for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.

Ian Wright and Roy Keane predict Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle outcome
It would appear as though Sunday’s game is already dividing opinion.
On the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast, Wright and Keane were asked to give their prediction for this week’s round of Super 6.
Neither could agree on the score with Wright backing Forest and Keane thinking Newcastle might get something.
Wright said: “I think Forest beat Newcastle, I think Forest at home, Chris Wood as well.”
Keane disagreed saying: “Forest can’t keep that run going. Newcastle will get a result there.”
Ultimately, the two pundits agreed that a 2-2 draw was the best outcome to opt for and settled in agreement on a share of the spoils.
Forest can take the game to Newcastle without pressure
With 19 points on the board after 10 games of the season, there really is nothing for Forest to fear for the Reds this weekend.
Newcastle had a great win over Arsenal last weekend but they are there to be got at on Sunday.
It won’t be all doom and gloom if Forest don’t get the right result but in front of a home crowd, the players will be bang up for the game.
Forest have a number of players in brilliant form right now.
The team has the second-best defensive record in the league and in Chris Wood, the team has one of the most feared marksmen on current form in the Premier League.
Sunday is an eagerly awaited match and hopefully, Wright is on the money with his prediction.
