Danilo and Murillo have showed that Brazilian’s are the way to go in the transfer market, and there could be another one on the way to Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been hailed for his summer transfer business at the City Ground, and rightly so.

Don Hutchinson has labelled Nikola Milenkovic as the signing of the season, after joining for just £12 million back in the summer.

Meanwhile, Elliot Anderson has caused Lewis McGugan plenty of excitement in a Forest shirt.

However, it appears as if Nottingham Forest may be turning their attention back to South America ahead of the January transfer window, as Graeme Bailey has some information.

Nottingham Forest want Lorran alongside Manchester United

Interestingly, Nottingham Forest had been credited with an interest in Lorran, who has a £41 million release clause at Flamengo.

And now speaking exclusively to Nottingham Forest News, Graeme Bailey has confirmed Nottingham Forest’s interest in Lorran and states that Murillo and Danilo’s rise will influence a potential move.

“He’s a player who Manchester United like a lot. He’s a Flamengo 18-year-old, very good player, hugely talented. He is one who’s on Forest’s radar, because he’s a top young player.

“Obviously we know Forest have got a fantastic scouting network in South America, having landed Danilo and Murillo. So we know that it’s obviously a place these Brazilians like to go as well, because they’re two players who have come to the City Ground and are now featuring for the national team.

“So we know it’s a good stepping stone, it appeals to them. I believe he is one who’s on Forest’s radar, and he might be one of these options for January. But yeah, Forest have definitely looked at him.”

Danilo and Murillo’s rise to stardom at Nottingham Forest

Murillo earned his first call-up to the Brazilian national team recently as they played Uruguay and Venezuela, but he failed to secure any minutes.

Regardless, it was the decision to move to Nottingham Forest that secured him the recognition to play for Brazil, which will no doubt be in Lorran’s mind.

Danilo joined Forest back in January of 2023, and he too has enjoyed recognition after an impressive start to life at the City Ground.

However, this season has been a write-off so far after suffering a significant injury against Bournemouth, which will keep him out until December at least.
